Varus acquires well-known chainThe supermarket chain Varus has secured approval to purchase the minimarket network «Kolо». This decision was finalized on the evening of July 16th.Novyny.LIVE reports this, citing the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.As stated by the AMCU, the authorization was granted to “Omega” LLC, the entity operating the Varus network. It is this company that is acquiring “Aritail” LLC, the owner of the “Kolо” stores.The application for the acquisition of the Varus network was submitted on June 4, 2026. Now, following the Antimonopoly Committee’s approval, the parties can finalize the transaction.It is known that the Varus chain belongs to businessmen Valeriy Kiptik and Ruslan Shostak.The first “Kolо” store opened in May 2017. Since then, the network has expanded to over 250 locations operating in Kyiv, the Kyiv region, and Odesa.For the fiscal year 2025, the company’s revenue reached nearly 3.3 billion UAH.
