Ukrainian Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi engaged in a telephone discussion with Anna Bjerde, the World Bank’s Managing Director for Operations.
Koretskyi shared this information on Facebook, as reported by Ukrinform.
“We discussed the continuation of reforms, the annual preparation of the RDNA report to assess damages from Russian aggression, as well as the implementation of programs that will foster the modernization of energy and the development of the Ukrainian economy,” stated Koretskyi.
He expressed gratitude to the entire World Bank team for their support of Ukraine. Special thanks were given for the SPUR 2 initiative, which creates opportunities to attract private capital for the country’s reconstruction. The Prime Minister also extended an invitation to the Bank’s head to visit Kyiv.
Currently, Ukraine is preparing for the annual meetings of the IMF and the World Bank Group, scheduled to take place in October.

As previously reported, Ukraine, in collaboration with the World Bank, is proceeding to the next phase of developing an updated Energy Strategy. A comprehensive analysis of the country’s energy balance, generation and consumption structure, as well as challenges and prospects for sector recovery, has already been completed.
The subsequent stage involves preparing a Concept Paper, which will serve as the foundation for the Energy Strategy. This document is intended to detail a holistic vision for Ukraine’s energy sector in the near future and outline the path to achieving these goals.
