This is one reason behind the company’s shift to a bi-weekly release cycle, commencing in September, supplemented by additional interim security fixes.Furthermore, Google is contemplating the introduction of two weekly security updates to counteract “rapid AI-driven attacks.” Such attacks might exploit vulnerabilities that emerge after patches are published but have not yet been implemented on user devices. Automatic Restarts at Convenient Times
In addition to dynamic patching, Google is exploring methods to identify “optimal moments” for automatically restarting Chrome, ensuring a seamless restoration of the user’s session. Version 150 of Chrome for macOS already features a capability that leverages the system’s state when applications continue running in the background even after all windows are closed.
